Its been sooooooo long since I've posted my last entry...
This one is in memory of the fun, fun summer I had this year!
Lets start with the tagaytay trip I had with the whole family... it was the end of Feb but I would still consider it as summer because of the scorching heat... so i therefore conclude that summer started on the last week of feb ;-)...
Actually, that trip was for my MIL to pay some thingies for the tagaytay city hall, but we would tag always along and enjoy the rest of the trip going to different places there. We ate a very late lunch at RSM (nice view, very good food BUT... very BAD service... when we arrived, we asked to be seated on their huts outside so we can enjoy the view. We even said that we're willing to wait inside and that we would order first. We found a hut that can seat 6 pax, but we are 10 in the group so no way we're going to fit there... another hut was vacated, which was supposedly for 8 pax... it was fine, we were a little cramped but we sat there waiting for the next hut to be vacated (it was the largest one)... all the while we thought they would finish anytime since they're already having buko juice...but, shit of all shits, we already had our food and none of the people there were moving their asses... they were just roaming around making pa-cute or whatever.... and we asked the waiters on what time the people in the large hut would finish, the asshole waiter would just say "mam magha-halo halo pa po sila hindi pa yan aalis". after 30mins, I asked him again and he just said the same thing, so i asked "kanina pa yang halo-halo na yan, naubos na nga kanina pa hindi pa din sila umaalis ano ba yan?!" He replied "Eh hindi ko po alam kung anong oras sila aalis." That asshole waiter was really getting on my nerves. But since the food was so good (or we were so hungry?), we just ate in peace. until the time we finished, that was the only time that the ghetto people in the large hut decided to leave as well.... darn! Here are some pics on that darn resto... we should have ate at Josephine's!

next stop: paradizoo. I've read about it on the net and since we love animals, I thought it would be a fun place to visit. Entrance fee per person is Php200. But when we got there, the sun was so freakin scorchin hot! As in! Wrong wrong idea...but we already paid so what the heck, might as well enjoy the loooong walk ahead.
There were only a few animals - camels, horses, pigs, goats, llamas, ostriches, a pet cemetery and a butterfly farm. There were also vegetable & flower plantations. My verdict - waste of 200 bucks and total waste of energy walking around. The only consolation is that I lost all the calories of the food I gorged on at RSM just by walking & sweating profusely. I'm glad I wore a halter blouse.
some pics...

rock on piggy! cutie baby pot-bellied pigs

pet cemetery, reminds me of the stephen king novel & the film... scary!

inside the butterfly farm, although I only saw one butterfly inside! this should just be called a large butterfly cage!

at the infinity pond, this is my favorite spot here in paradizoo, I love this pond! its so romantic with the ducks swimming and the lilies floating...

next stop: Caleruega. time for some spirituality...
I love this place, its so peaceful and serene. We almost didn't make it in time, since their closing time is 6pm, but we pleaded because we came all the way from Manila. Good thing they were good people (they work in a church! they should be nice hehe) so they let us in.

this is in their garden. hey, who's that passing kid?! hehehe...

this is on the roof-top area... Phoenix enjoyed running around here... until he polluted the air with his... uhmmm... hehe
