2009

My first entry for 2009! Much has happened since my last entry... I'll try to sum up everything in this post.

Highlights for 2008:

- weeekend house in bulacan. it has become our weekend destination because it's so peaceful & quiet there, we have no nearby neigbors yet (good thing!) and I can exercise and eat all I can. This is where we spent our xmas and new year. but its also where my baby phoenix had an accident, he scraped his feet in the aluminum door & needed 3 stitches to close his deep wound. Oww.. can't bear the thought of even remembering that day. Next...

- corregidor. we went to here around september and I never imagined history could be fun & scenic at the same time. It was sad to see the ruins there, how we suffered under the Japanese invasion. Phoenix also enjoyed walking but he got scared in the Malinta tunnel because it was so dark there. At night, we went ghost hunting at the old hospital and the malinta tunnel but alas, or maybe because we were with a noisy crowd (college students) no ghost came in sight.

- boracay and kalibo. this is where we had our family reunion (and at kalibo). Bora was a lot of fun! we went parasailing, banana boating and snorkeling, all courtesy of our generous aunts and cousins :) I would have preferred to stay in bora more because of the food & activities (not much of the night life) but we had to go to kalibo to spend xmas eve there. Lots of fun with the amazing race and we won! Had fun with my cousins very unforgettable.

2009

- new year. hell i had an unusual new year, Arby & I treated our cousins for dinner and we were supposed to go clubbing that night, but we ended up in a different type of club, if you know what I mean. My cousin David is 18 and totally no experience with girls so we gave him his first experience with girls (only that they are naked while dancing). lots of fun even though i felt really sad for the girls that they had to do it.

- Phoenix 3rd bday. we celebrated it at Batangas, off to tagaytay first, then to Kabayan beach resort for an overnight stay. it was fun and Phoenix enjoys the beach so much. Aw, my baby's 3 already.

- subic adventure. for my & nanay's bday, we went to ocean adventure on our first day, stayed at by the sea beach resort (nice accomodations but big hell no for their beach, it sucks big time nobody went for a swim), had dinner at xtremely xpresso (famous for their super size pizza which was as big as a round table) and for the next day, off we went to zoobic safari. had much fun at ocean adventure because I got to touch a dolphin! yey! we were all so tired from the zoobic adventure, that we almost had no energy during shopping at royal duty free.

- phoenix is going to school. i just wanted to cry seeing him off to school (well its just summer school but we enrolled him at a pre-school bear grace church for the coming regular school year). i can't believe my baby boy's growing up right before my eyes.

- and coming soon... another addition to the family!!! oh god i hope its a baby girl... well that's it for now. ciao!!!

Wow, its been a while since my last entry! This will just be a quick one because I want to go home at exactly 5pm... like I used to! Its been a very month..ss... being appointed as HR Head has given me a lot to worry about, even the pettiest things like basketball team... newsletter...darn!! I miss my free time, when I would freely surf the net for just about anything... but now, my arms are full! And I have to study again! Darn!!!!!
Well, I'm looking forward to my last free weekend because starting August, I would have Saturdays going and prepping up... no not for work, but for school! Eeeeckkk!!!

Well anyways, that's part of growing up...career-wise and whatever...

summer fun! - 1st stop tagaytay

Its been sooooooo long since I've posted my last entry...

This one is in memory of the fun, fun summer I had this year!
Lets start with the tagaytay trip I had with the whole family... it was the end of Feb but I would still consider it as summer because of the scorching heat... so i therefore conclude that summer started on the last week of feb ;-)...

Actually, that trip was for my MIL to pay some thingies for the tagaytay city hall, but we would tag always along and enjoy the rest of the trip going to different places there. We ate a very late lunch at RSM (nice view, very good food BUT... very BAD service... when we arrived, we asked to be seated on their huts outside so we can enjoy the view. We even said that we're willing to wait inside and that we would order first. We found a hut that can seat 6 pax, but we are 10 in the group so no way we're going to fit there... another hut was vacated, which was supposedly for 8 pax... it was fine, we were a little cramped but we sat there waiting for the next hut to be vacated (it was the largest one)... all the while we thought they would finish anytime since they're already having buko juice...but, shit of all shits, we already had our food and none of the people there were moving their asses... they were just roaming around making pa-cute or whatever.... and we asked the waiters on what time the people in the large hut would finish, the asshole waiter would just say "mam magha-halo halo pa po sila hindi pa yan aalis". after 30mins, I asked him again and he just said the same thing, so i asked "kanina pa yang halo-halo na yan, naubos na nga kanina pa hindi pa din sila umaalis ano ba yan?!" He replied "Eh hindi ko po alam kung anong oras sila aalis." That asshole waiter was really getting on my nerves. But since the food was so good (or we were so hungry?), we just ate in peace. until the time we finished, that was the only time that the ghetto people in the large hut decided to leave as well.... darn! Here are some pics on that darn resto... we should have ate at Josephine's!
my cutie pie baby boy

the two of us at the bridge with the dried pond (no fishies, sorry baby!)

while waiting for our food... phoenix already has a spoon! hihihi...

"we wish our food will already be here soon!"- Eman
"i wish i have all the coins down there!" - phoenix

pretty view! wish ko lang wag kaming malaglag!

all smiles = busog na

next stop: paradizoo. I've read about it on the net and since we love animals, I thought it would be a fun place to visit. Entrance fee per person is Php200. But when we got there, the sun was so freakin scorchin hot! As in! Wrong wrong idea...but we already paid so what the heck, might as well enjoy the loooong walk ahead.

There were only a few animals - camels, horses, pigs, goats, llamas, ostriches, a pet cemetery and a butterfly farm. There were also vegetable & flower plantations. My verdict - waste of 200 bucks and total waste of energy walking around. The only consolation is that I lost all the calories of the food I gorged on at RSM just by walking & sweating profusely. I'm glad I wore a halter blouse.

some pics...

rock on piggy! cutie baby pot-bellied pigs

pet cemetery, reminds me of the stephen king novel & the film... scary!

inside the butterfly farm, although I only saw one butterfly inside! this should just be called a large butterfly cage!

i'm the fairy god butterfly churva whatever gurla! tarush!
at the infinity pond, this is my favorite spot here in paradizoo, I love this pond! its so romantic with the ducks swimming and the lilies floating...

i'm thinkin of my wish.... i have lots of wishes! cant choose one, damn! I know! I wish I'd win the mega-lotto!!!!
don't mind me, I'm just showing the pretty sight behind... the vegetable plantations

and here are the flower farms... it looks all dried up

here's a tall, thin horse... malnourished probably hehehe...

and there's a camel, i'm scared to approach it while its drinking (it might attack me shhh...)

and there's an ostrich...phoenix riding a tiny horse (php 20 per pic! what a rip-off!)
riding in a golf cart... we should have rented one while strollin around! hmp!

next stop: Caleruega. time for some spirituality...
I love this place, its so peaceful and serene. We almost didn't make it in time, since their closing time is 6pm, but we pleaded because we came all the way from Manila. Good thing they were good people (they work in a church! they should be nice hehe) so they let us in.

this is in their garden. hey, who's that passing kid?! hehehe...
imitating the statue there... I almost got neck cramps

this is on the roof-top area... Phoenix enjoyed running around here... until he polluted the air with his... uhmmm... hehe

time for some well-needed rest... hayyy super pagod ever!!!

this is in the garden area with the sunset view...

outside the entrance... wala lang!

outside...we were supposed to go to the hanging bridge pero since its already dark, we opted not to... scary na eh!

After that we ate dinner at max's then went straight home. Very tiring but very fun day!

2008 and more

Oh wow, my last post was october 07 and now its already january 2008! Oh my! Can't believe how time flies! New year, new crap? Oh, be optimistic... new year, new hope!!! Ewww, so cheesy. Anyhows, its another january, which means my son will be turning another year older! Awwww.... how I wish he'd be a baby forever!!!! Really!!! To be as cute, as cuddly, as healthy and as fresh-smelling as a baby... but that can't be. Last year (dec 30 07 hehe), he said "wowowowoweeeeee" as the very infamous show started. Great. My baby's first words were "wowowee", not "mommy" or "daddy". But its a start, a sign of things to come (out of his mouth i mean). Oh, also, could it be a sign? That me, panget & Phoenix are all sick with cough just as the year starts??? And that we had power interruptions at our home at exactly 12am last january 01 2008??? Hmmm.... hope not. Well, enough ramblings here. I'd just like to welcome the new year with wishes of health, love, peace to everyone! Muah!!!!

luvin me-self

Ohhh... here we go with the ber months.... and before you know it, its xmas and its new year, your wallet's all wiped out and you have this huge credit card bill staring you back in your chubby, chubby face... you're broke and you're fat. Just fabulous....

But hey! Cheer up, christmas isn't supposed to be that way. Its the time of the year when you and your family hold gatherings and reunions (even if you're dreading to see that fugly cousin of yours, who's just gonna brag just how great her new job, new car & new bf of hers is...); an excuse for a get-together with friends, whom you only get to see during weddings, birthdays or funerals; and the time to spend all you hard-earned 13th month pay and bonuses... if your company gives such (you lucky bastard!).

For me, December is the time when I budget my 13th month pay, as early as October (yeah, the OC in me) for those that I will be giving gifts to, the amount allocated for each person, and what that person likes/ wants. It's also the time when me & my college friends have our "xmas party"... be it anywhere. Last 2005, it was held on our house because of my uhum, "sensitive state" back then (I was 8 months preggy).

Last year, we had our xmas reunion at Greenbelt... and God, it was then I realized that we were getting fewer & fewer each year! Maybe this year, it'll just be me, Eman, Karren & Rico & Gemma! Gosh, so sad...

Another thing that I also look forward to during this season is our company's xmas party. Its the time when I get to bond with friends from J&J. But this will be different, coz it'll be the last time I'll see them all. Ou contract with J&J is ending this year, so its bye-bye to my J&J friends. I really feel sad just thinking about this, but hey! Friendships don't stop there! I still keep in touch with my former colleagues from Movieworld and Chase, so it'll be no biggie.

And last, my favorite thing to do during the holidays... what else but shop!!! I so love shopping for xmas gifts, xmas groceries and stuff. Its the time of the year when I have an excuse to go to Divisoria and splurge on cheap but fabulous finds! I literally wipe my wallet clean whenever I shop on bazaars or malls during the holidays, and usually I end up owing my mom some money. I hate it.

So whatever your thing is for the holidays, enjoy and make the most out of it! This season only comes once a year. Make it enjoyable for you & your loved ones.

Non-sense

A transcript (through email) of a very walang kwentang pag-uusap between four very unstable girls...

Background:

Ganda got married last 2005, and has given birth to a very healthy baby boy last 2006.

Singkit got married early 2007, but is not yet pregnant as of press time.

Tisay got pregnant this 2007 and got married after getting knocked up.

Sexy is getting married this 2007, looks pregnant, but she isn't.

Tisay: Oy mga mare, kinakabahan ata akong manganak... Uy, ganda, nakakatakot bang manganak? Matagal ka ba naglabor?

Ganda: Oo, ang tagal kong nag-labor, biruin mo from Saturday madaling araw, I was experiencing labor pains, until manganak ako ng Monday lunchtime! Kaloka talaga...

Sexy: Uy, yung kapatid ko nagpahid ng oil ng sawa sa tyan bago sya manganak, as in sandali lang syang naglabor tsaka mabilis lumabas baby nya.

Singkit: Ano daw yun??? Oil ng sawa??? Wahaha, ano nnmang kwentong bayan yan???

Ganda: Wahahahaha!!!! Oil ng sawa??? Ano yun, mantikang pinagprituhan ng sawa?

Tisay: (serious pa din) Oy, ndi nga sexy, ano yun? San galing yun? Effective ba yun?

Hahaha!!! (still can't stop laughing)

Singkit: ...

Ganda: Gulo nyo! Usapang ahas ba to o panganganak???

Singkit: Ay naku ewan! Magtrabaho na nga ulit tayo baka mahuli pa ko sa inyo!

Ganda: Sige na alas-singko, uuwi na ko. Umuwi ka na tisay at mag-umpisa ka nang humanap ng sawa!

Singkit & Tisay: Hehehe...

Sexy: Mga bwiset kayo! Sige babush!!!

The end.

Walang kwenta sabi sa yo eh.

What I hate the most (grrr....)

I've posted this first in my friendster blog. I think I wanted to post it here because... wala lang... trip ko lang hehehe...I made this entry nung time na nanggigil ako sa inis (malamang) ... and would you believe that I found that the two types existed in one person! Yup! Kaloka! At first she was the first type, then after the thing that she did, she then turned into the second one! Say what??? Schizo alert! Hello, mental? Hahaha... whatever girl, I just hope you're having the time of your life right now.

What I Hate the Most

I super hate pretentious people or para sa ating mga hampaslupa, yung mga mapagkunwari. And there are two types: those pretending to be so nice and those pretending to be so bad.

First, those who feign as goody-two-shoes, or di makabasag pinggan, when they're so NOT. Hello? No matter how hard you try to mask the evil inside you, it will definetly show. Stop giving the impression that you're so naive, so delicate, so innocent, when the inner you screams BIG TIME BITCH. Kakairita lang with your pagkukunwari, lalabas at lalabas lang ang baho mo kahit itago mo sa baul. Ang plastic, nalulusaw sa mainit... so when under fire or under pressure, ayun lumalabas ang tunay na pagkabruha. Better show your true form early on, at least people who will like you will like you for who you really are.

Second, those who act as if they're all wild and outrageous, when they're as boring as a blind librarian's clothes. Trying hard is the more appropriate term. Feeling bad girl, bad boy eh ang soundtrack naman eh boom-tarat-tarat. Feeling liberated, eh virgin naman (haha!). Don't get me wrong ha, I'm all for the sacredness of virginity. But if you're flaunting na you've done this & done that, you smoke here & you drink there, you party anywhere, then what are you trying to imply? Na you're still as pure as Viva mineral water? O baka naman may ADHD kasi NBSB. Say what? May Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder kasi No Boyrfriend Since Birth. O baka naman so desperate na kasi naghahabol sa kalendaryo kaya giving the impression na game sa lahat. But whatever your reason is, stop being so annoying. Period.

So to those people, get over yourselves! The real thing is always the best, kung talagang nice ka eh di good, kung talaga namang bad ka e ganun ka na talaga e. Just stop pretending that you're the other way around. The real you will always come out, no matter how hard you try to conceal it. You're fooling no one but yourself. Baka in the process ng pagpapanggap mo, matuluyan ka ng maging schitzo. Mas malalang problema yun di ba.
